Lee Thompson, M.D. FACS | Surgical Oncologist

Dr. Thompson graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama were he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He is board certified in surgery, he completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Virginia where he also completed additional surgical oncology training with an emphasis on hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He was active in melanoma vaccine research and has multiple publications on the subject. Dr. Thompson held a faculty position in the Department of Surgery at the University of Virginia prior to moving to Mobile in 2002.

Gerhard A. Boehm, M.D., FACS | General Surgeon

Dr. Boehm graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Boehm is board certified in general surgery and completed his surgical residency at Emory University. He has performed more than 7,000 breast surgeries during his career.

Issac C. Payne, D.O. | Colorectal Surgeon

Dr. Payne is a fellowship trained colorectal surgeon. He completed his subspecialty training in colon and rectal surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center’s Colon & Rectal Clinic of Orlando — a nationally recognized fellowship distinguished in minimally invasive and robotic colon and rectal surgery. Dr. Payne completed his residency in general surgery at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. After completing his fellowship training in 2018, Dr. Payne moved to Alabama and joined Infirmary Surgical Specialists.

Tammy Pugh, MSN, R.N., ACNP | Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinic Nurse Specialist

Mrs. Pugh is a graduate of the University of Mobile where she received a Bachelor of Science in nursing. While earning her undergraduate degree, she was elected and served as president of the Student Nurses Association and spearheaded health fairs to promote community health awareness. After graduation, she was employed at Mobile Infirmary in the surgical intensive care unit and received valuable experience in caring for patients with acute life-threatening medical conditions. She also completed a dual degree and received a Master's of Science in nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinic Nurse Specialist. She received extended training in transplant nephrology. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She also serves as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students attending universities from around the state of Alabama. She is also an active member of Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology. Mrs. Pugh provides disease specific services to patients who have completed or receiving cancer treatment and require increased surveillance. She is involved in developing and providing comprehensive care in the areas first High-Risk Cancer Clinic in which she identifies patients that have an increased risk of developing cancer.

Joseph Galloway, M.D., FACS | General Surgeon

Dr. Galloway is a native of Mobile. He received a bachelor of science degree from The University of Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Dr Galloway completed his surgical residency at the Oschner Clinic in New Orleans. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.

Christopher Dyas, M.D., FACS | General Surgeon

Dr. Dyas is a native Mobilian. He received a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University and graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at the Baptist Hospitals in Birmingham, AL. He is a Board Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.

Edward A Otts, M.D. | General Surgeon

Dr. Otts returns to his hometown to join Infirmary Surgical Specialists after completing his residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. His specialties and certifications are in robotic, endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Otts surgical interests include hernia, anti-reflux, trauma and endocrine surgery.

Jimmie G Garvas, M.D., FACS | General Surgeon

Dr. Garvas was born and raised in Andalusia, AL. He graduated from Troy University (Troy, AL) before beginning his professional medical training at the University of South Alabama and continuing through his General Surgery residency there. Dr. Garvas was in private practice in Greenville, AL until he and his wife moved to Fairhope in 2000. They have a son and a daughter. Dr. Garvas' outside interests include working on his family's farm.

Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Missouri. He graduated from Westminster College (Fulton, MO) and then from Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA) before beginning his professional medical training at the University of Missouri (Columbia, MO) and continuing through his General Surgery residency at the University of Kansas (Wichita, KS). Dr. Wilson was in private practice in Brookhaven, MS until he and his wife moved to Fairhope in 2007. They have three boys. Dr. Wilson has outside interests in tennis and photography.
